Benefit Concert

There was a benefit concert at the First Congregational Church in Riverside tonight. My husband and son played with some friends. There were some other people playing too. I guess they raised about $400 for Katrina victims.

Yarn Swap

Okay the big news was really my son's concert at school. He was great! The Jazz Band did two songs. They really sounded good together. I was impressed. But as soon as they were done my daughter and I hightailed it out of there to the Yarn Deli for their first yarn swap. We ended up bringing home about twice the yarn we took. Now I need to find space to put it. I hope I use some of what I got.
I also hope I left my camera at school 'cause I can't find it to show you my new stash and the newest knitting...(camera was in the car door, so I didn't find it when I looked for it in the car last night)

Tonight was so cool!

Thank you Sheila and Tim for letting us use your box at the Honda Center! We had a blast!!!

OhMyGod! What a cool night! My friend Leigh Ann shared tickets with us for Eric Clapton's concert at the Honda Center. It was wonderful from start to finish. We were in box seats with some very nice people. We ordered food and drinks in. We were able to walk around in privacy. The bathrooms were nice.
The concert was awesome. We all had such a wonderful time. It was an amazing St. Patrick's Day. Did I mention I am a big Eric Clapton fan from years back.

My husband and son play Clapton songs enough that my daughter even recognized some of the songs. We had such a great time. Thank you for your generosity and friendship Leigh Ann. You gave us a once in a lifetime experience.

My cousin says I don't have to go to church today. I saw God last night...

Coffee Gallery Concert tonight

DH, the kids and I went to a concert at a coffee house in Altadena tonight. Laurence Juber is an excellent guitarist and a gracious person. It was great to see such a talented man in such a small venue. Very intimate and personal. Loved it! Our son got to see Juber perform "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," before he performs the same song at our school 'Vista Idol' contest on Wednesday.
