It's Snowing in Taos!

Now it's really Snowing!!!These pictures are from our balcony.

Yesterday in Chimayo

We spent two days in Santa Fe and now are in Taos. The weather is flipping between rain and snow. It is lovely. We stopped at the chapel in Chimayo yesterday on our way up. We drove through the New Mexico national forest too. Lots of cool shopping and great food! Missed two yarn shops that were closed one in Santa Fe and one outside Taos. Got to three and but only bought yarn at two. Needle's Eye in Santa Fe and La Lana in Taos. Needle's Eye had some Koigu sock yarn I bought for a pair of spring socks and La Lana has local hand-spun. I found some sport weight wool/silk and some slightly heavier mohair/wool all in light blues and spring greens.
I also finished my Annetrelac socks last night!

Waiting to head Home

I am sitting at the Hancock International Airport in Syracuse, New York. My flight leaves in about an hour.
Well, it's been a quick trip. I am so glad I was able to come though. I have missed Justin so much. I finally got to hug him. He was a great host. I stayed at his house and he drove me around. He took me to Innisfree on Seventh Lake near Inlet, NY. We've had some work done on the place and I really wanted to see it. I couldn't see the roof for the snow, but the stairs to the lake are GREAT! Here's Justin leading the way down the driveway. The snow was 3 feet deep. I didn't think I would make it down the driveway let alone back up.

I had a hard time getting around so Justin went down on the dock to take some lake pictures. That's part of Seventh Lake behind him.

This was the sunset last night on our way to dinner ouside Watertown. Check my flicket account for more pictures...

Snow Day

We took a ride to Oak Glen today to play in a little snow. It was quiet up there. Not much snow. I bet the ski slopes were packed today though...

The kids had fun target practicing...

Snow falls in Redlands

Today has been like a dream. When I got up this morning it was SNOWING! In the Southern California low desert! My kids got up about 6 am. It was still dark when we went out to play before breakfast and school!

There was a light layer of snow on the lawn when we headed out. We got to school and it started snowing there too. It melted by the time it hit the ground. My students had fun chasing snowflakes with their tongues though.
