Spring Has Sprung!

How are these for Springy? Just need to put the finishing triangles on and knit the heel, foot and toe...
It's so nice to be on vacation. I spent a couple hours at Yarn Deli, fixing my Sidewinder socks so I can rush to the finish(after I finish my son's flame socks.)

Weekend Joy

I had all four kids home this weekend. Nothing makes me happier. They were all joking around with each other too. My favorite sound. Really not a lot going on. Took the younger two and hubby to a dance class on Friday night. It was not the best class I've been to. Hubby was very unhappy. I am glad I got the kids started before. They looked great on the dance floor.
My youngest daughter had her top braces removed on Thursday. Tell me, does she look happy?
Here's a little progress on my Scrap-trelac Socks. I had leftover Noro sock yarn from my January KAL socks. Couldn't let it go to waste. Not my best photography, but I am tired and going to bed now.

Views on Saturday

I finished the entrelac bag with a few adaptations. I added an entrelac flap to fold over and button down. I suppose if I were to make another I might make it per the pattern and put a zipper in the top instead...I like this one though. With the red showing through while I block it, I may have to line it.
Here are the new blooms for Saturday.
A beautiful pink epiphyllum
A yellow and pink alstroemeria
A pale lavender iris with a blue lavender beard

Friday at Last!

We made it through the week. My son came down with a bug on Monday and had a fever til Wednesday. The rest of us picked up varying degrees of the bug, but managed to make it through our work/school week without missing any days. Rehearsal for the play at school is getting pretty intense so my daughter can't miss any rehearsals. I'm glad she felt well enough to carry on. I am really glad we got home to rest. I took a nap from 5ish to 7ish before fixing everyone chicken noodle soup and cornbread. This afternoon was damp and cool...not at all like our normal weather. Soup for dinner was just the ticket.
Worked more on my entrelac bag. I have to figure out the brioche stitch for the back now. Am finishing the other tan sock now. All the knitting is done, now just the kitchenering.

May WIPs and more Flowers

Here are some works in progress. I keep on putting more things on the needles without finishing what I already have on. These socks and bag should go pretty fast. I tried my first entrelac with help from Sharon at the Yarn Deli tonight. I am pleased with the start. I hope the colors are a little more exciting soon. My daughter just finished a cool crocheted bag tonight. I'll see if I can get a picture to post. It's very cool. I am very proud of her!

Today's blooms...

Tall bearded iris

There are roses galore blooming right now!
